Women can become leaders in various levels but waiting for the opportunities to be given by the society. Currently, Thailand has many local female leaders who should be praised for their great vision in development, their good motherhood and wifehood, retaining Thai culture and continuous self-improvement. HM the Queen has given a speech that to become a good leader, you must possess virtue and work with honesty and dedication or self-leading, be friendly and learn to adapt to other people or people-leading and be responsible, initiative and endeavor or work-leading. However, women still have to suffer from economic problem, low education, family violence, sexual oppression. Hence, government agencies decided to establish the Women Fund and develop women development plan 2012-2016 under 5 strategies namely reinforcing gender equality attitude, developing capability and providing economic and social opportunity, improving public health, quality of life and strengthening life security, increasing politic participation, management and decision making in various levels and the development of mechanism in women organizations at every level. The challenge for all female leaders is to prove to the society that woman’s uniqueness lies in our creativity, continuous learning, clear project proposal, clean personal life, corruption-free and efficient coordination. The society will provide more opportunity to women after the reinforcement of gender equality attitude, law and management regulations amendment, female-male’s roles study in schools, the support to women in every institute and level and the media’s report on women’s success. The seminar on female leaders capability development was held from 15-16 August 2012 with the purpose to honor female local leaders and build up spirit. These female leaders were selected by regional, area and provincial committee.
